Tie New National Standard will be mandatory for next year

Recently, the new national standard for ties, issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (AQSIQ) and the National Standardization Administration, has been officially released. It will take effect on January 1 next year, marking a significant step forward in regulating the tie industry. This updated standard replaces the previous industry guidelines and introduces more precise and comprehensive requirements. It covers various aspects such as the appearance, stitching, size tolerances, and ironing of ties, as well as specific criteria for accessories like zippers, clips, and other components. In addition to setting strict limits on fabric-related parameters such as formaldehyde content, pH level, color fastness, and the presence of decomposable aromatic amines, the new regulations have introduced mandatory requirements for the physical and chemical properties of tie accessories. This ensures that not only the fabric but also all related components meet high-quality and safety standards. The introduction of this standard is expected to enhance consumer confidence, improve product consistency across the market, and promote healthier and safer manufacturing practices within the industry.
