Tie New National Standard will be mandatory for next year
Recently, the new national standard for ties, issued by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China (AQSIQ) and the National Standardization Administration, has been officially released. It is set to take effect on January 1 next year, marking a significant update in quality control for the tie industry.
This new standard brings about more detailed and precise regulations compared to the previous industry guidelines. It clearly outlines specifications for the appearance, stitching, dimensions, and ironing of ties, as well as requirements for accessories such as zippers, buttons, and safety pins. The standard also provides more comprehensive criteria for assessing the quality and defects of finished tie products, ensuring higher consistency and better consumer experience.
In addition to setting clear limits on fabric properties like formaldehyde content, pH level, color fastness, and the presence of decomposable aromatic amines, the updated standard introduces stricter mandatory requirements for physical and chemical properties of tie accessories. This reflects a stronger emphasis on both product quality and user safety.
The introduction of this standard is expected to enhance market transparency, improve product reliability, and promote healthier competition among manufacturers. As consumers become more conscious of quality and safety, these changes are likely to have a positive impact on the overall industry standards and consumer confidence.
