More than one hundred famous textile enterprises in Weifang have established bamboo fiber standards

On July 25, the China Cotton Textile Industry Association and the China Home Textiles Association jointly hosted the Tianzhu Industry Link Meeting in Weifang. This event marked the official start of the development and standardization of bamboo fiber home textiles. Over 100 representatives from companies across the upstream and downstream sectors of the Tianzhu industry chain attended, showing strong interest in the future of this sustainable material.

Bamboo fiber is a regenerated cellulose fiber produced from bamboo through advanced high-tech processes. It retains the natural antibacterial, UV-resistant, breathable, and cooling properties of bamboo. In addition, it exhibits characteristics similar to viscose fiber, such as excellent moisture absorption and release, a soft touch, good drape, ease of dyeing, and vibrant color retention. Because of these benefits, it has been dubbed “the healthy fiber of the 21st century” and “the green fiber,” gaining popularity in both domestic and international textile markets.

The Tianzhu Industry Alliance was formed to connect various players within the bamboo fiber supply chain. Comprised of multiple companies across different stages of production, the alliance has played a key role in promoting the industrialization and commercialization of bamboo fiber and its downstream products. In recent years, this initiative has not only brought about significant economic returns but also contributed positively to environmental sustainability and social development. With growing consumer awareness of eco-friendly materials, the potential for bamboo fiber in the textile industry looks increasingly promising.
