"Cashmere Standard Fineness Sample Preparation" Passed Identification
On December 17th, the AQSIQ scientific and technological planning project titled "Study on the Production of Cashmere Standard Fineness Samples," led by the Beijing Inspection and Quarantine Bureau in collaboration with the Ordos Cashmere Group, successfully passed expert evaluation. This milestone marks a significant advancement in the cashmere industry, as it addresses a long-standing gap in the availability of standardized fineness samples for cashmere fibers.
The expert panel unanimously recognized the importance of this research, emphasizing that it offers a reliable and innovative foundation for assessing the quality of cashmere and enhancing the standardization of testing procedures. By solving the issue of inconsistent fineness standards and calibration challenges, the project is expected to significantly improve the accuracy and reliability of cashmere fiber measurements.
Furthermore, the successful implementation of this project could lead to a shift away from the traditional reliance on international wool grading labels in China, introducing a more accurate and locally adapted system. This development not only strengthens the domestic cashmere industry's technical capabilities but also enhances its global competitiveness. With the potential to revolutionize how cashmere is measured and evaluated, this project represents a major step forward in the modernization and standardization of the cashmere sector.
